It was a busy time for the three-strong Micron team at Booth 11 at the 9th AMR Conference held in Basel, 25-26 Feb. Numerous meetings were held throughout the two days, so thank you to all visitors to the Micron Booth who heard about our history of both clinical research into anti-infectives and AMR Surveillance platforms. We hope to be seeing much more of you in the coming weeks and months!
Many discussions and sessions at AMR Conference were focussed around the changing ecosystem and funding models associated with the research and development of anti-infectives. Micron has been witness to both the successes and disappointments that the field has experienced for the past 25 years, and it seems that the need for innovative approaches is stronger now than ever.
The range of ingenious solutions being investigated for resistant bacterial and fungal infections constantly impresses, and it was noticeable at AMR Conference that diagnostics and medical devices are being considered as ways to complement pharmacological agents to keep resistance at bay. At Micron, we’re proud to be collaborating in the fight against AMR, and aim to be active in clinical research supporting development of diagnostics, devices and agents in the coming years.
