Micron is pleased to announce its involvement in P-PEAKS, an international clinical research project coordinated by Unity Health Toronto that will investigate the use of bacteriophages as a potential treatment for recurrent, drug-resistant urinary tract infections (UTIs).
Funded by the European Union, P-PEAKS brings together 20 partners across 13 countries to advance innovative, evidence-based approaches to tackling antimicrobial resistance (AMR). The project represents an important step forward in the development of alternative therapies for infections that are becoming increasingly difficult to treat with conventional antibiotics.
As a consortium partner, Micron will be managing the project alongside Dr. Greg German and his team at SPHERE, supporting the successful delivery of this ambitious international collaboration.
By bringing together expertise in clinical research, microbiology, manufacturing, and regulatory science, the consortium aims to generate the robust evidence needed to support the future development of bacteriophage therapies and improve outcomes for patients affected by antimicrobial-resistant infections.
Micron is proud to contribute its clinical research expertise to this important initiative and looks forward to working with consortium partners throughout the project as P-PEAKS progresses.
