Anita Lessing, together with Sonia Sutherland, founded Clindev Pty Ltd in 1997. Clindev Pty Ltd was acquired by the Micron Group in 2004 and Anita continues to serve as a Director on the Clindev Board. Prior to founding Clindev, Anita worked as a CRA for Roussel Laboratories and spent time working at the Roussel DMRU facility in Romainville, France during 1990. In 1991 Anita joined the team that established the first CRO in South Africa and was a member of the operational and management team at Clindepharm from 1991 to 1997. Anita is a qualified and licensed pharmacist with an MPharm degree obtained from the University of Pretoria. Anita has more than 30 years of clinical research experience and has published papers and several poster presentations at local and international conferences. Anita’s responsibilities include project management of global projects that are based out of the South Africa operation, managing all the operations of the South African subsidiary and leading business development and expansion of operations in the Africa region.
